Project comments: A flex room was transformed into a private office/bedroom with the addition of a beautiful Chevron style barn door. The hardest part about this job was actually getting the door inside the home. To the untrained eye, the opening doesn't appear to be wider than 3 or 4 feet. In actuality the opening is a few inches short of 5 feet! This door was essentially two smaller doors combined as one.

What's unique about the door is that the paint acted as a chameleon and changed colors depending on the surrounding lighting.
For example, at the workshop the door gave off a blue vibe...

Note: Progress photo before the Chevron design was made so it's the same door and the same color.
Once the door was installed, it felt more black and blue as you can see in the pic below...

It should be stated that there will usually be a small variation in how a door looks when its initially painted versus how it looks when the paint dries. This slight variation is more noticeable for certain colors. We find that the variation tends to be more pronounced when dealing with grays and blues versus any other color in the spectrum. Throw in some lighting and it can get pretty interesting.
In this particular project the lighting appears to play a pretty significant role in how the final finish appears, but the good news is that it was exactly what the homeowner was looking for!
So at the end of the day, we have a happy customer and another project knocked out!
